DailyWellness app by DRGARITECH · Last updated 5 November 2026 · Contact: [email protected]
In short: what you enter stays on your phone. Only when you join a Family Circle does the app share what your family needs to look after you, through our server. We do not show ads, we never sell data, and we do not use paid AI services. Papers and photos are read on the phone itself.
1. Who we are
DailyWellness is made and published by DRGARITECH, a partnership firm in Andhra Pradesh, India ("we", "us"). We decide how the data described here is used. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What stays on your phone
- Your medicines and doses taken, water, meals and meal photos, walks and steps, sleep, mood ("How are you today"), health readings (for example blood pressure, sugar, lab test results), doctor papers, your emergency card and your daily, weekly and doctor reports.
- Text in lab reports, prescriptions and medicine strips is read on the phone (Google ML Kit, which runs on the device). Nothing is sent to an AI service.
- If you sign in with Google, the app keeps your Google name and e-mail on the phone, to show your name and to save your backup. Your e-mail address is not sent to our server.
- Backup: if it is on, a copy is saved every night in your own Google Drive (in a folder named "DailyWellness Backups"), locked with encryption. Only your Google account can restore it. We cannot read it.
3. What is shared when you use Family Circle (optional)
Family Circle connects your phone with the family members you invite. Our server (run on Cloudflare, at wellness.drgaritech.com) works like a post office: it delivers messages between your family's phones. To do that it receives and keeps:
- Names and relationships you enter for the people in the circle, and a random id for each phone. No phone number or e-mail is needed to join.
- Your medicine list, so that every phone in the circle shows the same medicines.
- A summary of the day: medicines taken, missed or late, water, meals and snacks, steps, mood, and the family's corrections.
- Phone status, so the family can help fix problems: battery level and charging, whether notifications, location, alarms and fall detection are allowed and switched on, when the app was last heard from, and the app version.
- Help and fall alerts, with your location at the moment of the alert. The most recent alerts and events of a circle (at most the last 500) are kept while the circle exists, so the family can look back.
- Files the phones send to each other: photos, meal photos, voice notes, short videos, daily, weekly and doctor reports, doctor papers, test values and the emergency card (blood group, allergies, illnesses, medicines, doctors and family phone numbers, if you fill them in). A file is kept until every phone has received it, and at most 7 days (daily reports at most 30 days).
- Contact details a family member chooses to add so that you can reach them from the help screen (a phone number, WhatsApp number or Telegram username).
- A notification token from Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging), so the server can wake the phones for reminders and alerts.
Only the members of your circle see this information. A family member with "view only" access can see it but cannot change it. You can remove a member at any time.
4. Crash notes (also without Family Circle)
If the app crashes, a short technical note is sent to our server: which screen, the error, the phone model and the app version. It contains no health data, names or photos. It is deleted after 30 days.
5. Location
- Read when you send a help alert, when fall detection raises an alert, during a walk you start yourself, and for the weather of your area.
- Hospital places that you or your family save are watched by Android on the phone (a "geofence"), so the family knows when you arrive for a doctor visit. This is why the app asks for location "all the time".
- Your location is not tracked all day, and it is not kept on our server except inside an alert.
6. Permissions and what they are for
- Camera: photos of medicines, meals and papers, and family videos.
- Microphone: voice notes and videos for the family.
- Notifications, alarms and full-screen alerts: medicine reminders and help or fall alarms, also on a locked phone.
- Location: help and fall alerts, walks, weather and hospital arrival (see section 5).
- Physical activity, motion sensors and Health Connect: step counting for walks, and fall detection, which runs in the background only when you switch it on.
7. Other services the app uses
- Google: sign-in, Google Drive backup, Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications), Google Play Billing (subscriptions; we never see card details) and ML Kit (runs on the phone).
- Cloudflare: hosts our server.
- Open-Meteo: weather and air quality (approximate location only).
- OpenStreetMap: street maps and place names.
- U.S. National Library of Medicine (RxNav): medicine name suggestions (only the medicine name is sent).
- Android Health Connect: steps, read only, if you allow it.
- Public internet radio streams that you choose to play.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We send them only what is listed here.
8. What we never do
- No advertising, no selling or renting of data, no tracking across apps or websites.
- Your health data is used only to show it to you and to the family you chose. It is not used for marketing and not shared with insurers, employers or data brokers.
9. How long we keep data
- On your phone: until you delete it or remove the app.
- On our server: files until delivered (at most 7 days; daily reports at most 30 days), crash notes 30 days, and the family circle's names, medicine list, day summary and recent alerts for as long as the circle exists.
- In your Google Drive: until you delete the backup.
10. Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Delete my family data. It deletes your data on our server at once. If you are the person cared for, it deletes the whole family circle and all its files. Removing the app deletes what is on the phone. All the ways to delete, including by e-mail: drgaritech.com/delete-account.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by leaving the Family Circle or deleting your data. Write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority of your country (in India, the Data Protection Board of India).
12. Security
All traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS. Phones sign in to our server with a random secret, not a password. The Google Drive backup is encrypted. No system is perfectly safe, but we keep as little data on the server as we can.
13. Children
DailyWellness is meant for adults. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
14. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and important changes are shown in the app.
15. Contact and grievances
For any question or complaint about your data, write to [email protected] (subject: "Privacy"). DRGARITECH, Andhra Pradesh, India.
